Bright and well balanced, fresh picked strawberries and cantaloupe aromas with a rhubarb and orange blossom finish. Round mouth feel, well-structured and this refreshing Rosé reveals a racy acidity and enduring finish. Great with summer salads, spicy foods or triple cream cow’s milk cheese and your favorite French baguette.
2014 Best in Class Winner
Vibrant and intense floral Rosé of Syrah originates its journey from a private estate in Sonoma Valley that practices the art of developing a high concentration of flavors from the fruit by slowly stressing the vine. The Sonoma Valley AVA centers on the Sonoma Valley (also known as The Valley of the Moon) in the southern portion of the county. It is bordered by two mountain ranges: Mayacamas Mountains to the east and the Sonoma Mountains to the west. A wide disparity between valley floor and mountain soils, those found in flatter, valley areas tend to be quite fertile, loamy and have better water-retention while the soils at higher elevations are meager, rocky and well-drained. Sonoma Valley consists of 65,000 vineyard acres with 254 wineries. Its AVA was established in 1981.
